Beneath the dark layer and the hard shell, deep inside, a heart is hidden.
Like a seashell held to the ear, it beats.
so, this is the heart of magic, one of my favourite elements,
reminding me that even within the darkest and hardest shell,
there, deep inside, lies a fairy heart.

under the trunks of the trees, where textures grow.
I use naturally etched branches in bark pieces, sculptures, and floral designs.
These markings exist everywhere,
They’re hidden, endless, and to me they feel like ancient memories from our wonderful world.
